A new virtual home for Future Cape Town is unveiled

Debut in Rio: The new Future Cape Town website appears on an iPad in Copacabana, Rio

Future Cape Town is thrilled to reveal its new website at www.futurecapetown.com.

The new site, created by the designers at Quickonline with Rouen Smit of Future Cape Town, offers readers better readability and navigation.

“Visits to our site have increased considerably since Future Cape Town’s inception, and as such we have created a site that we hope will support and inform the organisation for years to come,” comments Smit.

Building on a strong foundation, our homepage offers readers insights into the latest developments and livability issues from cities around the world, with a primary focus on our home city of Cape Town. Select pieces by founder and MD, Rashiq Fataar will be available in the special Editor’s Selection.

Other new site features include:

  • An events section highlighting urban, architectural and city-related events.
  • Special focus sections offering a temporary concentration of articles, pictures and videos around a particular theme. The current Rio+20 Conference is the first featured focus.
  • Larger viewing of videos and full sized images that offer richer view of media to visitors of the site.
  • Better sharing tools so that visitors are able to share articles of interest.

“We would like to thank our partners for their support and continued engagement. We hope our new site will enhance our existing relationships as well as help to foster new ones. Our website will continue to evolve as we strive for the best interactive experience for visitors of Future Cape Town,” concludes Smit.
