Anya van der Merwe completed the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) with Distinction in 1984 before moving to London, United Kingdom, to further her studies at the Architectural Association, from which she graduated with an Architectural Association Graduate Diploma in History and Theory (AAGradDip)in 1987.
Since that time, Anya has become an internationally acclaimed architect working on projects like the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) and Allan Gray’s new offices at the Waterfront Clocktower. André-Pierre du Plessis sat down with her to talk about Cape Town’s architectural landscape.
