Under the slogan “Exploring the people and stories shaping our cities”, the 15 episode podcast seriesMetropolist, was co-hosted by director of Future Cape Town, Rashiq Fataar and co-owner of Echo Ledge Productions, Matthew Griffiths. The show aimed to take a deeper look at the way in which cities are changing, and the people, stories, events and ideas shaping them. Broadcast live from the studio of Assembly Radio in Cape Town, the series also connected with correspondents in Johannesburg, London and Lagos, bringing a global view to the way citizens and cities interact. Some of the invited guests included Trevyn McGowan, Guy Briggs, Enver Duminy and Mark Coetzee, while topics included, mega-events, townships, cycling, african futures and youth development. The series has been published at the Future Cape Town and Metropolist show websites.
