The city recently announced the construction of a new 35-storey retail and residential development to be built on the site bounded by Bree, Riebeeck and Mechau Streets, Cape Town, with sectional title area of 21 000 m².
The building is to be developed by FWJK Development and marketed by Pam Golding Properties. Construction is set to begin in in April 2017 and completed in December 2019, after which it is expected to be Cape Town’s tallest residential development.
This development, on FWJK’s cost methodology, is expected to sell out fast and will also be launched on Wealth Migrate’s crowd funding platform. It offers a range of upmarket units, including studio apartments from R1.5 million, one bedroom units from R1.9 million up to three bedroom units from R7 million.
The design at street level will reflect the urban landscape on Bree Street, and will retain certain heritage aspects in façade terms only.
